Blog issues and Siouxsie Sioux
My blog broke. I have no clue what happened. But the blog format that I have used for the past two years no longer will support my widgets on the sidebar. I tried to fix it last night, but in my attempt I messed up my header and I was left with a bright white blog with standard font in the header. It wasn’t pretty.
As luck would have it, Siouxsie Sioux is the theme this month for Ladies in Black , a facebook group managed by Lady Bethezda of Bethezda’s Preoccupations. You have no idea how difficult it is to write a blog post about Siouxsie Sioux when your blog looks like crap.
But I have now managed to fix the header. And I found a temporary blog format that is slightly similar to my old one. Not perfect. But it will do.
So on to Siouxsie Sioux.
I was hesitant to do this post because while I’m a member of the Siouxsie Sioux fan club, I’m by no means the president or founder.
Also, I stole her name for this blog. So obviously, Siouxsie Sioux is a major inspiration for me.
What else is there to say? I started listening to her because of a boy.
I have put black and white tile all over my house because of Siouxsie and the Banshees’ Happy House video.
I’m listening to Tinderbox on vinyl while I write this. It’s Siouxsie and the Banshees at their most upbeat.
My favorite song off this album is Cannons

Siouxsie Sioux is working on a new album. And she still looks amazing. I am very much looking forward to seeing her on tour with this new album (whenever it happens).
i love your blog and read it all the time, sorry i just lurk. it would piss me off something MAJAH if that happened to my blog, and you are so calm. brava.
also, i love lady bethezda. she makes me smile on a regular basis which is so not goth but i’m okay with that. cheerio!
Aww. Thanks.
It’s so annoying when things like that happens. I have had the same blog background for far too long now because I changed the interface. My old background doesnt work.
You are truly a fan of her! Oh I wish I had a recordplayer to play my lp’s on!
Thanks! I am really happy to have a record player again.
The first Siouxsie album I bought was Once Upon A Time. I stopped shaving my armpits for 4 years because of her. I miss the hairy armpits.
That’s a great album. I haven’t gone as far as to stop shaving my armpits, but it could happen.
I like the new look of your blog. Cannons is a pretty great song.
Thanks. I’m still trying to get the old theme back.
I could rave on what a great song Cannons is… for a little while at least. Her singing is per-fect. It’s such a shame Tinderbox was never given the credit it deserves.
